Semifinalists and the finalists will be notified by email and may be asked to submit further information including a current transcript of grades and an appraisal from an unrelated adult who is closely involved with their achievements and knowledgeable about their accomplishments.
All finalists and recipients are selected by Michael Moody Fitness. All decisions are final and are not subject to appeal. The program is competitive; not all applicants will be selected as semifinalists or finalists; not all finalists will be selected as recipients.

Meet Kaitlin Homan
2018 Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship Winner
“I am a graduate student studying Public Policy and Social Work at The University of Chicago. I choose this career path because I desire to better understand the root causes and human costs of social inequity, as well as how to make a difference. My philosophy is simple, I believe it is our collective responsibility to contribute to making the world a better place. My current scholarship builds on previous learning to expand the sphere of concentration from the individual to larger systemic approaches. Post-graduation I hope to work in Chicago, participating in policy evaluation for people with disabilities and advocacy for individuals in under-resourced communities. I hope that the passion I have for my studies and work is contagious and inspires others to help make a difference as well."
